The following article was first written and posted on 03/18/2015. What will 2021 bring about? Will there be a continuation in the sequence of 120 that relates to America and perhaps Israel as well?

A Sign to Wonder – Days of Noah
I want to lay out something for you to consider as a summary of which I will share more on as weeks go by. Like many people perhaps, I do not confess to completely understand the Scriptures that speak of the end times but one thing I do know is, I will understand them less if I do not look at them regularly. I must pay attention to what is happening around me and to what Holy Spirit says each day. Sometimes Holy Spirit leads us on a path and after searching out a matter in scripture do we find confirmation. Sometimes all we find is that our thinking does not go against His word – and all we have left is what Holy Spirit has spoken as we watch it unfold. The following is what has me paying attention to soon and possibly glorious or perilous times ahead.
Proverbs is a book of wisdom and gives insight as to how God operates. He speaks to us and expects those who will be responsible to search things out – to search His heart on a matter. We, as adopted and joint heirs with the King of kings, are called to a high calling. Proverbs 25:2 tells us that,
‘It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.’
In November 2013, I was studying the roots and history of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movements and looking at Wesley, Parham, Seymour, and others while landing on a reference to a woman named Agnes Osman. Agnes Osman was reported to be “the first to speak in tongues” since Pentecost. It happened on New Year’s Day January 1, 1901 during an evening meeting at Charles Fox Parham’s Bethel Bible School in Topeka, Kansas.
While I was studying this more, I felt Holy Spirit say, “as in the days of Noah”. What I thought of or heard next was a reference to 120 years. This reference comes from Genesis 6:3 and God setting a timing for mankind and for Noah.
“Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
I believe this verse primarily speaks of the expected lifespan of man but it sent me to look at dates that led up to the 1901 outpouring which reshaped the world from the Welsh Revival, to Azusa Street and beyond into present day. The events that started that New Year’s Day in Topeka, Kansas have not stopped and have literally changed the course of the Church into the deeper things of God.
From 1901 going back 120 years, you come to 1781. This is an important year as this is the year that General Cornwallis laid down his sword at Yorktown, Virginia. In this single act he surrendered to the American colonies.
From 1781 going back 120 years, you come to 1661. In this year, the ‘Corporation Act’ of England was signed into law by the British Parliament. ‘The Act provided that no person could be legally elected to any office relating to the government of a city or corporation’ unless they were a part of the Church of England. In essence, this act fulfilled the primary goal of preventing all Christians, who were not baptized into the Church of England, from active leadership in government or corporate affairs. State sponsored and defined religion.
From 1661 going back 120 years, you come to 1541. In this year, a famous painting by Michelangelo called The Last Judgment was completed. It is the depiction of the second coming of Christ and the final and eternal judgment of God of all humanity.
Summary of Findings
In using the measure of 120 years and looking through history I see that Michelangelo’s The Last Judgment was depicted for all to see in 1541. In England of 1661, 120 years later, an event that provoked our pilgrim forefathers to abandon England and what grew out of that was a longing for a new land of religious freedom to worship God as one saw fit. God always provokes his people before He makes a change. Then 120 years later in 1781, after a long struggle, a new nation is literally and physically born in a day with the surrender of the sword of British rule in Yorktown VA as Gen. Cornwallis surrendered to Gen. Washington ending the American Revolutionary War. A nation was born in a day. Then, 120 years later in 1901, in the small town of Topeka Kansas, America and the world were spiritually impacted with new life from the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit since Pentecost. It is interesting to note that Topeka is an Indian word that means ‘a good place to dig for roots’.
Every 120 years a clearly identifiable and related event is taking place. I know that these relate to America and many of those who are reading this are in other countries. I am American and God would speak to me in a way that makes sense to me – in a way he can reach me. Search your heart and I am sure that God is telling you things in the context of your surroundings, in the country you are in.
Look Up
As I take this method forward, I see that 120 years from 1901 leads us to 2021. Back in 2014, when I first started to look deeply into this, it was 7 years away from the next 120 year cycle landing in 2021. Do I know what is going to happen then, I do not. Do I suspect something is going to happen that has great significance, I do. I will share more on that in later weeks. Always keep your eyes open, physically and spiritually – even as we see the day of the Lord approaching. Look up because things are looking up for those who trust in God.
‘not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.’ (Heb. 10:25)
